    Compassion in Action

The Family Resource Network is a non-profit ministry in Mason, Texas dedicated to serving women, children, & families by leading them to life-affirming choices. We are a safe, confidential group of friends to help you understand the wonderful privilege of life and how to navigate the challenges of life's unexpected twists and turns. We do this by listening to you, understanding your unique situation, serving you by meeting urgent and important needs, and helping you find God's good purpose and plan in it all.

    Beauty from Brokenness

Our logo paints a picture of the reality of life with God. Life has been described as a circle, speaking of how each season connects to the other and is meant to lead us to wholeness. But every person is broken in many ways by the challenges of life. Thus, the circle in our logo is broken. By reaching out to God for His help and walking together, we will find that He heals the brokenhearted, binds up their wounds, gives them lasting freedom, comforts those who mourn, gives them beauty in place of their sorrow, the oil of joy in place of their tears, and praise in the place of broken hearts (Isaiah 61:1-3). Thus, the flowers in our logo represent the beautiful healing of God that leads us to wholeness and joy. The Family Resource Network seeks to partner with God and a network of caring friends to bring about the fulfillment of His promises to us.

Behold, children are a gift of the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.

    Psalm 127:3

    HISTORY

    Late 2022

Several concerned friends began to pray and strategize regarding the need for a family “resource network” including a pregnancy center in Mason County, Texas. The unraveling of morality in America is causing escalating trauma in many families. We all had our own stories of trauma and healing and desired to share the healing with others.

    January-February 2023

o The idea was presented to interested individuals, and we quickly received unsolicited donations of $20,000.

o We held our first Steering Committee meeting.

    March-April 2023

    o A $34,000 ultrasound machine was donated.

    o We secured our 501c3 non-profit status.

o We developed our Mission, Vision, and Values statement.

Subsequent Developments and Goals for the Remainder of 2023:

Our short-term goal is to open the Gem of the Hill Country Pregnancy Center. Our focus is to meet immediate needs, develop mentoring relationships with our clients, and provide extensive life-skills classes to change the trajectory of each family we serve. Participation in our training programs will allow clients to earn credits to acquire merchandise in our Baby Boutique, an on-site showroom of high-quality donated furniture, clothing, and family supplies.

The use of a 2500 square foot building at 1406 Ft. McKavitt has been offered to us rent-free, though we will be financially responsible for most of the finish-out. We are very excited about this space, as it will allow all our initial objectives to be accomplished!

As of August 2023, donations of $325,000 have been received or pledged of an initial financial goal of $375,000. Our goal includes $235,000 in building finish out, $40,000 in furnishings, and $100,000 for our first year’s budget. The annual budget includes a full-time director necessary to train and coordinate the many volunteers needed to serve our clients. Volunteer advocates have already been trained and are ready to begin serving!

Help us get to our first year goal as we seek to provide this critical service to our community and region!

Please consider a monthly commitment to help us have a strong budget as we provide consistent and robust care for our clients and their families!

We gratefully invite your prayer and financial partnership. Volunteer and help us with peer-mentoring, administration, event planning, & resource coordination!

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
